Wedding Music
Wedding Repertoire is as wide as practicalities allow. Here are some popular favourites:- Panis Angelicus (Franck)
- Ave Maria (Bach/Gounod)
- Ave Maria (Schubert)
- Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring (Bach)
- I would be true (tune: O Danny Boy)
- Ave verum corpus (Mozart)
- O for the Wings of a Dove (Mendelssohn)
- Ag Críost an Síol (O’Riada)
but brides and grooms can choose their own music provided that appropriate notice is given.
An even wider repertoire is opened up when the John Dexter Harmony Professional Adult Harmony Singers (alto, tenor and bass) are added to the ensemble.
Some couples like to add a solo instrument such as violin or trumpet to make the day special -- solo Voice is particularly appealing at weddings, and the JDH soloists are remarkable for their versatility and tone quality.
